Learn about Chiropractic Care
We focus on restoring normal movement to your joints to reduce pain and improve function, which improves neurological function and output.
What is chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a drug-free and non-surgical science. Chiropractors focus on the central and peripheral nervous system which manages the body’s vast chemical interactions to help ensure proper function and consequently better health.
The brain is a sensory and motor system that sends messages through the spinal cord across a huge network of spinal nerves to deliver information to every cell, organ, and system of the body. Chiropractors promote greater health and function by removing interference in this system by restoring normal function through adjustments and treatment of the structures of the body, especially the spinal column.
Is chiropractic treatment ongoing?
The hands-on nature of chiropractic treatment is essentially what requires patients to visit the chiropractor a number of times. To be treated by a chiropractor, a patient needs to be in his or her office. In contrast, a course of treatment from medical doctors often involves a pre-established plan that is conducted at home (i.e. taking a course of antibiotics once a day for a couple of weeks).
Chiropractors may provide acute, chronic, and/or preventive care thus making a certain number of visits sometimes necessary. Your chiropractor should tell you the extent of treatment recommended and how long you can expect it to last. Returning a patient to pre-injury status is the goal, whenever possible.
Is chiropractic treatment safe?
Chiropractic treatment is widely recognized as one of the safest drug-free, non-invasive therapies available for the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal complaints. Although chiropractic has an excellent safety record, no health treatment is completely free of potential adverse effects. The risks associated with chiropractic, however, are very small. Like with any medical treatment a comprehensive history should be taken to determine a course of treatment. If chiropractic care is not appropriate for your condition, a referral to a provider who can better manage your condition will be made. According to the ACA, it is estimated that chiropractors treat more than 35 million Americans (adults and children) annually.

What can chiropractors adjust?
Chiropractors most commonly are known for working on the pelvis and spine. However, you have joints throughout your body that can become limited or altered in motion. Many people do not realize that shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and feet are common areas that chiropractors will treat to help their patients improve.

Are all patients adjusted the same way?
Not at all. Chiropractors alter the force of adjustment, whether by hand or instrument. It is constantly being adapted and modified to the individual. Like with any treatment, adjusting and soft tissue manipulation are tailored to the patient’s specific needs and tolerances.

What types of adjustments are performed?
A variety of techniques are used by our team of chiropractors. Some of these include Cox Flexion-Distraction, Activator technique, Diversified, Logan basic, Thompson Drop technique, and a variety of soft tissue mobilization techniques. Treatments are based on patients’ individual needs.
What is non-surgical spinal decompression?
Nonsurgical spinal decompression is a type of motorized traction that may help relieve back or neck pain. Spinal decompression works by gently stretching the spine. This treatment typically is used for patients with radiating pain down the arms or legs or decreased function in the arms or legs. Imaging is generally performed prior to this treatment to confirm the likelihood of success.
Learn About Spinal Decompression
Spinal decompression works by gently stretching the spine. That changes the force and position of the spine. This change takes pressure off the spinal disks, which are gel-like cushions between the bones in your spine, by creating negative pressure in the disc.
What is done in spinal decompression?
The muscles in your back will be lifted from the back bone, to expose the back of the spine. The affected tissues or nerves will be removed little by little, taking the pressure off the spinal cord or nerves.
Is it good to decompress your spine?
Spinal decompression gently helps bulging or herniated discs return to their correct locations for long-term relief. Over time, decompression therapy may help your discs remain in place instead of continuing to migrate outside of their intended spots.
Can a chiropractor decompress your spine?
Manual Techniques: Chiropractors may employ manual techniques to decompress the spine. Through hands-on spinal adjustments, these professionals work to realign the spine and create necessary space between the vertebrae, aiding in the decompression process.
How successful is spinal decompression?
Reviews of recent popular medical literature revealed that the clinical results of Spinal Decompression Therapy have been effective in over 75% of the people receiving this treatment and most patients find long-term relief and effective management of their pain upon completion of the entire program of treatments.
Learn about Class IV Laser Therapy
Class 4 laser therapy is a drug-free, surgery-free technique for reducing pain and swelling and improving a patient's range of motion. We can use it to treat both acute and chronic conditions without any side effects.
What does class IV laser therapy do?
This kind of laser therapy can also improve nerve regeneration & function as well as impact your cells to increase cell metabolism, enzymatic responses, collagen production, and promote angiogenesis (the creation of new blood vessels)
What are the benefits of IV laser therapy?
IV Laser Therapy improves circulation, enhances cellular metabolism, stimulates the immune system, reduces inflammation, and promotes tissue healing. It is believed that the laser light energy can activate certain biochemical reactions in the blood, leading to these therapeutic effects.
Is Class IV laser better than cold laser?
The Class IV laser is able to penetrate up to 10 cm and is 24 times more powerful that a cold laser. Since it is able to penetrate so deeply into the body, the vast majority of muscles, ligaments, tendons, joints, and nerves can be treated effectively.
Learn About Acupuncture
With this treatment, you can feel relief from neck tensions, back pain, and also joint pain or inflammation in the hands or arms.
What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a system of integrative medicine that involves inserting very small needles into the skin or tissues, used to alleviate pain and treat various physical, mental, and emotional conditions. Originating in ancient China, acupuncture is now widely practiced in the West. Acupuncture helps the body move to a parasympathetic state (rest and recoup). This allows the body to heal naturally.
What does acupuncture treat?
Acupuncture is commonly used to treat seasonal allergies, menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, smoking cessation, addiction therapy, and anxiety, just to name a few. Consult our office for more specific questions about if acupuncture is right for you!

Learn about Functional Medicine
Functional medicine often focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of health issues rather than merely treating symptoms. This approach aims for a deeper understanding of the body's interconnected systems, seeking to restore balance and promote overall wellness. However, insurance companies typically cover conventional medical treatments that primarily target symptoms rather than investigating and addressing underlying causes. Insurance companies determine what is considered "medically necessary" based on established standards of care. Functional medicine often employs advanced testing, personalized treatment plans, and extended consultation times, which may not align with these conventional standards. As a result, many functional medicine practices are labeled as "not medically necessary," even if they lead to meaningful, long-term improvements for patients. This restriction can limit the quality of care, as insurance-driven healthcare often emphasizes quick, standardized solutions. In contrast, functional medicine requires a comprehensive, individualized approach, which may not fit within the rigid frameworks of insurance policies.
