A heel spur is referred to as bone growth on the heel bone. It’s usually found on the underside of the heel bone where it attaches to the plantar fascia, a protracted band of tissue running from the heel to the ball of the foot. This tissue gets hold of the arch together and acts as a shock in an activity. If it’s over stretched from running, putting on poorly-fitting shoes, or being overweight, Foot Pain St. Charles may come from the strain and inflammation of the tissue pulling on the bone. Treatment options may include:
Taking of anti-inflammatory medication
Wearing proper footwear or shoe inserts
Having Rest
Proper stretching before activity
Applying cold packs
