Prevention of Heel Pain

Although it may not be able to avoid all instances of heel pain, there are several simple precautions you may take to prevent injury and suffering:

  • Maintain a healthy body mass index (BMI)
  • If you’re going to be active, be sure you’re wearing the correct shoes.
  • Before you exercise, stretch your muscles.
  • Maintain a steady pace while exercising.
